Thamarai Thandu Vathal

Ingredients: Lotus Stem, Salt, Red Chilli Powder
Thamarai Thandu is a super food which can improve immunity as well as balance enzymatic activity in our body. Thaligai Thamarai Thandu Vathal can be added as garnish for kuzhambu or added along with various poriyals or sabjis.
Frying Directions
Heat 2 tbsp oil in a kadai. Add 1/2 cup of Thaligai Thamarai Thandu Vathal. Fry on low heat for 2 minutes until a nice aroma begins to emanate and the vathal turns dark golden brown.
Serve with curd rice or with ghee and plain rice. Alternatively add to vatthakuzhambu before serving.
Once fried, store for up to a week in an airtight container
TIP: Soak in warm water for 20 minutes and can be cooked with any vegetable of your choice
