Thaligai is owned, ideated, created and promoted by Nalina Kannan who hails from a traditional Iyengar family from Srivilliputtur. Launched in May 2016, the restaurant flourishes under Nalina and her team of professionals and has today gained acceptance amongst the traditional vegetarian culinary lovers who search for speciality heirloom dishes that cannot be found elsewhere.
Today, the restaurant boasts of serving quality food prepared in house by professional and experienced chef's. Thaligai continues to take great strides and in December 2017, has launched 'Amudhadhwani' through which the heavenly combination of music along with food is being explored.
