A traditional seasoning mix with the perfect blend of dal and spices. Best enjoyed on its own with hot ghee rice but can also be added to curries and vegetables.
Ingredients: Toor Dal, Red Chillis, Pepper, Asafoetida, Salt
TRADITIONAL PARUPPU PODI
Cooking Directions (serves 4)
In a large bowl place one cup of hot steamed rice. Add 1 tsp oil or ghee. Add 2 tsp Thalgai Traditional Paruppu Podi, mix well and serve wih vegetables of your choice.
Alternatively, serve hot with rice and rasam or with chapathi.
TIP: Thaligai Paruppu Podi can also be made as paruppu thuvaiyal. Mix ¼ cup of hot water with ½ cup of paruppu podi and mix in a blender for one minute. Serve with rasam or milagu kuzhambhu and white rice.
